An Evening With Darrell Scott

Darrell Scott is what you might call a stealth celebrity. Chances are you’ve never heard of this Nashville-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, but his deeply personal ballads of love, loss and longing have been top-10 hits for the Dixie Chicks (“Long Time Gone”) and Travis Tritt (“Great Day to be Alive”). He’s watched Faith Hill, Keb’ Mo’, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw and other stars record his tunes, and he’s won the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award, with several Grammy nominations to his credit. Scott, who plays in Robert Plant’s Band of Joy when not on tour with his own shows, is currently touring in support of his new CD Couchville Sessions.  Scott’s performances are equal parts dynamic and powerful—for serious music lovers who love music straight from the soul.
