Music Appreciation Series: Blue Moon Klezmer Band

  • Stoughton Opera House 381 E. Main St. Stoughton, WI 53589 (map)

Blue Moon Klezmer Band returns to the Stoughton Opera House to perform traditional music of celebration from the Jewish people of Eastern Europe. The word “Klezmer” is Hebrew for “vessels of song” – meaning the musicians through whom the music flows.

The Blue Moon Klezmer band was organized by Richard MacDonald in the spring of 2017 for a performance at the Stoughton Art Walk and has performed in numerous locations in Stoughton, in Janesville, and at Olbrich Gardens in Madison. Rabbi Mo Wolf from Congregation Beth Yeshua joins the group as a special guest for this concert of traditional Hebrew songs and dance tunes.
