The historic Stoughton Opera House is located in Stoughton, WI just a few minutes south-east of Madison. The theater plays host to a wide variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the season - rock, folk, classical, oddities, comedy...you name it. MadFiddle is thrilled to celebrate its 14th season with their annual performance at the Stoughton Opera House. MadFiddle blends traditional and contemporary fiddle music with rock, samba, jazz and string band grooves. The group features youth performers ranging in age from 7-17 jamming alongside Highway 151, featuring John Christensen (electric bass), Louka Patenaude (electric/acoustic guitars) and Nicholas Vanhaute (mandolin/acoustic guitar). Together, MadFiddle & Highway 151 show up with a blast of inherent joy that comes with playing music with friends. The group is directed by Shauncey Ali, who was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the Madison Area Music Awards.
