The historic Stoughton Opera House is located in Stoughton, WI just a few minutes south-east of Madison. The theater plays host to a wide variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the season - rock, folk, classical, oddities, comedy...you name it. Known for sublime acoustics and an early 20th century aesthetic, don't pass on a chance to see a show or just pay a visit to the Stoughton Opera House.

Music Appreciation: Hyewon Ryou, piano

 Korean born Hyewon Ryou began playing piano at age 8 and by age 13 was accepted to the Yewon Art School in Seoul. She soon made her debut with the Romanian National Symphony Orchestra at the Little Angels Art Center. Since then, Ms. Ryou has performed as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician all over the world.

Ms. Ryou is currently working on her Doctoral Degree at the Peabody Institute of Music (part of Johns Hopkins University). Peabody is one of the preeminent conservatories of music in the US.

Ms. Ryou will be traveling to the Midwest to share her gift with the people of Stoughton. Her program will include music by Haydn, Rachmaninoff, and Liszt.
