The historic Stoughton Opera House is located in Stoughton, WI just a few minutes south-east of Madison. The theater plays host to a wide variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the season - rock, folk, classical, oddities, comedy...you name it. Known for sublime acoustics and an early 20th century aesthetic, don't pass on a chance to see a show or just pay a visit to the Stoughton Opera House.

Music Appreciation: The White Birch Ensemble

THE WHITE BIRCH ENSEMBLE

The members of this quartet are from Russia and are members of the UW Madison Russian Folk Orchestra.  They will perform traditional Russian Music on traditional instruments-the dobro (an instrument similar to the mandolin or balalaika) and an accordion. There may be some singing too.  Come and join us for some tuneful Russian Folk music.

Tickets: Free-will donation at the door

This is an hour long program of the Music Appreciation Series sponsored by the Stoughton Area Senior Center and organized by John Beutel.  The sessions are free and open to the public.
